Dr. Cynthia Sink is a board certified podiatrist that has been practicing medicine since 1989. She graduated from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a surgical residency at American International Hospital in Zion, IL. She is board certified in podiatric surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Diplomat of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

She is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. She is associated with Silver Cross Hospital and Presence St Joseph Medical Centers in Joliet, Illinois as well as South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, IL. She has been recognized as a “TOP DOC” by Silver Cross Hospital based on patient satisfaction surveys. This accolade is well deserved as Dr. Sink has a caring and compassionate approach as a physician. She takes the time necessary to develop a sound patient-doctor relationship. She is thorough, educational and an excellent listener. She will help you to reach your goals in a realistic and care giving environment. You will feel that you take an active part in the plan of care process.

When not treating patients she has an active lifestyle which includes many outdoor activities with her family. They enjoy hiking, boating, cycling, snow skiing and scuba diving. Her family mottos are eating right and exercise to live a long healthy life. She not only recommends this for her patients but actually practices and preaches about healthy choices and how to make them. Dr. Sink strongly believes that your feet are the pathways to health. By taking care of them you will be taking care of the rest of your body as well. Starting from the ground up, you can build a sturdy foundation.

The practice also includes Dr. Sink’s trusted nurse, Mary Ellyn. She also has a caring touch and warm heart as well as experience. She is a registered nurse that has been practicing nursing for over 25 years. Her style of nursing is “treat people the way you want to be treated”. She will make you feel comfortable in the office and exam room as she obtains information regarding your problem and medical condition. Mary Ellyn takes her time in properly assessing your condition and going over your health history so she can inform Dr. Sink with correct data about your symptoms. You will never feel rushed or that any of your concerns are insignificant.
